I have had trouble in the past with creating blog posts. Not due to time or topics but rather the format and knowledge conveyed. I take my role as a trust agent seriously so that my readers may get a balanced and fair understanding of a topic. However, that in itself is extremely difficuilt and time consuming. Writing a well researched blog post that covers all the bases while being balanced, informative, interesting and less than 1,000 words takes a long time. The reality is that I too am running a business, have a family and a life outside of work. As such, my worry on writing on a topic that is complex and not getting it right has lead to a sort of writers block and then other tasks become more of a priority.
I mentioned this issue with a close friend and they advised the creation of an Intergrity Promise / page (which is here).
The integrity page is my promise to you that I will try to produce good posts (more details on the Integrity page). The reality is that I will have a bias (i.e. I like (and have more experience of) Windows rather than Linux), it is unlikely that I will spend any more than a couple of hours on a topic, that complex topics will be simplfied for the post with only main points detailed, that I will use AI in places for content creation, topic ideas, etc (though I will not blindly post AI content without reviewing it first), I will rely on other blogs, forums, news websites, YouTubers, commentors, experts and professionals as part of my research rather than purely technical documents & forums. Above all, I am an expert and a professional but I do not have the time or energy to exhaustively explore one topic for days just to present a complete blog post (that is somehow not filled with links to other posts or even less than 1,000 words). The world moves too quickly and people only have so much time to spend on reading a blog post. That said, I do want to put my knowledge and understanding into a wider forum and a blog (along with a future membership website) are the best options in my mind at present. I hope that if you are reading this that you understand that there are very few topics which are cut and dry. I hope you will also continue visiting this blog to get a better understanding of technology and business.
